What if it doesn't suit us?
Find out before you pay. The free trial runs for 10 days with no card: your child can sit a complete mock exam, work through the question bank, watch the starter lessons and get a writing task marked. When the trial ends nothing is deleted — results and the study plan stay readable — but starting new practice needs a pass. If the way we teach doesn't fit, you'll know before then and it will have cost you nothing.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Everything is managed from the billing page inside your account — you can take out a longer pass at any point. Passes are one-off payments, so nothing renews automatically and there is no subscription to remember to cancel. Moving up doesn't reset anything: your study plan, progress history and marked writing all carry across, because they are attached to the account rather than the pass.
Do you offer refunds?
There is no automated refund button, and we'd rather be straight with you than promise one we haven't built. Passes are one-off payments that never renew, so you will not be charged again. If something has gone wrong with a purchase, contact us from inside your account and we will sort out a fair outcome; if a payment is refunded, the pass it paid for ends. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply regardless, and nothing here reduces them.
Is the writing really marked by AI?
Yes — each plan includes a number of AI-marked writing tasks a month, marked against the NSW Selective or NAPLAN criteria with written feedback. If AI marking is ever unavailable, or the month's AI marks are used up, the piece gets an automated estimate instead (spelling, structure and length only). That estimate is clearly labelled as not an AI mark, and it never uses up one of your AI marks.
Is SelectivePath affiliated with the NSW Department of Education?
No. SelectivePath is an independent preparation service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the NSW Department of Education, ACARA, ACER or Cambridge. Our papers are written by us in the style and structure of the real tests — they are practice material, not official past papers, and no preparation can determine a placement outcome.
Which tests does this cover?
The NSW Selective High School Placement Test (Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills and Writing), the Opportunity Class (OC) test for Year 4 students, and NAPLAN reading, numeracy and conventions of language. All three sit in the same account and the same study plan.
How much is a plan per child?
Every plan except the Family Pass covers one child. The Family Pass covers up to three, each with their own login, their own schedule and their own progress — visible to you from one parent dashboard.
